The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is a global Standard to promote open and
accountable management of natural resources. It seeks to strengthen government and company
systems, inform public debates and enhance trust. In each implementing country, it is supported by
the multi-Stakeholder group composed of governments, companies and civil society organisations
working together.
The EITI-SR process covers two sectors in Suriname: mining and oil & gas.
To date, Suriname has published two EITI Reports, covering the fiscal years 2016 and 2017, respectively.
This report covers three fiscal years: 2018, 2019 and 2020.
